Into The Open
After much considerations in attempting a name for his first Independent Project Tre
Main has entitled the project "Into The Open". Consider this Tre Mains' freshman "novel" so to speak. Full
of intrigue and passion on self being, relationships, society and individuality in hope of a
happy conclusion - all intertwined with an Urban Pop and Hip hop Underground Sound. This chapter
of his life is sure to shed some insight into the life of the artist and individual.
Shedding his earlier Pop sound for a more bleek take on life, love and the
pursuit of happiness "Into The Open" comes to be a very colorful and infectious experience.
"Into The Open" dives into the depths of ones' lifetime. Tre
Main demonstrates the importance of growth, wisdom and self being as a result hence the sentimental track
"Days Like This", which offers a glimpse into a troubled childhood and a life fastforwad as runaway teen. the song
makes mention on how growing up without his biological father and seeking out an identiying kept him him
yearning to be heard. While then the collection spirals into the distrubing 'End On A
Note", a pertual tale of self conflict and suicidal tendency. Tre Main redeems with the track "Obey".
On a lighter note, The projects title track "Into The Open", also the second track
on the project offers up some tasty and inviting R & B style vocals with a commanding beat enlaced
with cosmic sounds making for one dance contagious euphoric ride. While possibly "club-ready" Tre
Main gives the listeners a handful of Feel Good tunes to groove to, and leaving their ears fulfilled on
such tracks including; "One Time", "I Free My Love", and "The Stunner".
As before Tre Main does little in holding back his affirmation regarding his feelings
on life, love and pains of life. Highlighting indie underground Hip Hop sounds while emphasizing his
humanatarian side, and indicating such good will in songs like "What's It All About"?, and Good Neighbor (What If
I)?, show how easy a task for the artist (and as a human being) to accept difference in others while embracing his
own - though also attempting to bridge the gap on color, creed, race and orientation.
He introduces his own tribute to the late Michael Jackson in the song "For
The Boy" which high spots on how Michael and other eccentric male artists remained influences throughout his life. "Obey",
a slight tap on the shoulder of religion, asks the questions who are "saints from sinners?" and ponder how our
lives determine ones' fate through the eyes of "God". The song reassures that ones contribution of
their life in taking care of ones' self and eachother is the true testament.
Though the project displays universal sound it is not for everyone.
Tre Main proposes harmonious pop friendly tunes as that of " Make No Apologies" as blowing
off dead beat relationships, and the "tongue-in-cheek" "Hideaway" which blatantly takes jab at obsessive
and overbearing individuals (through the eyes of Hollywood...the paparazzi.)
In an attempt at briding the gap in how Music Genres should look, sound and be...Tre Main
turns his own tides in garnishing a reputable trend of listeners whom arrive open in seeking out something unique,
innovative and fresh and finding themselves falling into a world they told themselves they'd never know.
While everyone has a story to tell....you won't find one remotely close as that
of this songsters.
